Ocean Mission

Every year, more than 22 million tonnes of plastic end up in the ocean. It is a number that is hard to picture, and harder still to accept for those who live by the sea.

Our answer

Zouri started from a simple idea: if the plastic is already there, someone has to go and get it — and then give it a destination worth having. We collect plastic from the beaches of the Portuguese coast and use it to make our footwear, together with ecological and sustainable materials.

One pair at a time

We do not believe a shoe brand can solve ocean pollution. We believe that every pair made with collected plastic is plastic that is no longer in the water, and that a buying decision can also be a stand.

That is why everything we do — the materials we choose, the place we produce in, the people we work with — pulls in the same direction.
